Boann Single Pot Still Madeira Cask

The Single Pot Still distillate produced from locally acquired malted barley, unmalted barley, oats and rye has initially matured in heavily charred ex-Bourbon Barrels for this expression. After this, the whiskey has matured in exceptional Madeira wine casks in which Madeira wine has previously undergone the famous 'Canteiro process'. This creates a lively and fresh whiskey with velvety mouthfeel where flavours like peach, vanilla and walnut dominate.

Nose

Lively fragrance with enticing aromas of apples and peaches, followed by beautiful notes of honey and toasted oak, with a hint of floral scents playing in the background.

Taste

Velvety mouthfeel, peaches and cream on the first sip, vanilla, walnuts and dried fruit cake.

Finish

Long finish with fresh lemon oil and lingering spiciness.
