Indri Drú Cask Strength

Founded in 1967, Piccadily Distillery is located near Delhi in northern India, overlooking the Himalayan mountains. Since then, Piccadily has been one of the largest producers of alcohol in India. In 2010, it started building its own single malt whisky distillery, which started producing its own single malt whisky in 2012.

Drú in Sanskrit means wood, tree or vessel. This is the third batch of this Indri Drú. The whisky is matured in former bourbon barrels in a subtropical climate resulting in a fast maturation. The Indri Drú is packaged in a tasteful box, which also makes it ideal as a gift.

Tasting note

Nose

Many subtle notes of exotic fruit transition into vanilla, citrus with soft spices, chocolate and honey. The nose fills out completely.

Taste

First comes the sweet fruit, with soft spices, immediately followed by sweet vanilla with the chocolate, wood spices and citrus which seizes the back of the tongue.

Finish

Full, complex and chewy with again the mixed fruit.

Indri Distillery
