Linkwood 11 years 2012 - 2024 #306286 Signatory Vintage

Linkwood Whisky offers a glimpse into the rich Scottish distilling tradition, and has done so since it was founded in 1821 by Peter Brown. The distillery has a history of consistent quality and craft. 

This particular release, the Linkwood 11 Years from Signatory Vintage's Cask Strength Collection, is an excellent example of the distillery's craftsmanship. The whisky has been bottled at cask strength, meaning it has not been diluted to a standard alcohol content. This makes the flavours and aromas even more intense. The "First Fill Bourbon Barrel" refers to the use of a cask that has previously contained bourbon once, which adds extra vanilla notes and complexity to the whisky.

Tasting note

Nose

Upon opening the bottle, inviting aromas of ripe fruit, honey and a hint of vanilla emerge, with subtle hints of oak.
 

Taste

On the palette, the whisky leaves a powerful impression with rich notes of caramel, spice, and a soft fruitiness reminiscent of citrus and orchard fruits.
 

Finish

The finish is long and warming, with a lingering sweetness and an elegant balance between dryness and the richness of oak, leaving a lasting impression.
