Fragrant Drops is an independent bottler from Leith, Edinburgh in Scotland. The focus is mainly on Malt whisky, but Grain and Rye whisky, Rum and Brandy also pop up occasionally. Cask strength and (almost) always single cask releases. It really has to be an excellent cask for it to qualify to become a Fragrant Drop.

Tasting note

Nose

Creamy butterscotch, elegant notes of cereals and sugars, vanilla and orchard fruit.

Taste

Same luscious sweetness, but not cloying. Classic coconut/vanilla/pineapple combination, here also with nice hints of apricot, nectarine and maybe a hint of passion fruit. Sweet latte. Surprisingly little oak, really great.

Finish

A subtle soft but long sweet finish.
